RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission will continue reviewing a proposal to purchase property for a new public safety building and a separate application to establish a golf driving range when it meets Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The commission will also consider a proposed adult day care center, a new restaurant sign and awning on Main Street, and the possible sale of town-owned property.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex, 66 Prospect St., in Meeting Room 2.
Commissioners will continue reviewing an 8-24 referral application concerning the proposed purchase of property at 221 Danbury Road.

The property is being considered for a new public safety building that would accommodate the Ridgefield Police Department, Fire Department emergency medical services, Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department and the town's communications center.
A public hearing on a proposed golf driving range at 0 Ethan Allen Highway has been extended to Oct. 27 at the applicant's request.
The application seeks a special permit to establish a driving range, parking area and related improvements in a B-2 business zone.
EAP Property is listed as the owner, and Robert Jewell is the applicant.
Commissioners will receive a preliminary concept for establishing an adult day care center at 6 Ivy Hill Road.
The property is located in the RAA residential zone.
The proposal is being presented under the commission's pre-submission review process.
A new restaurant, Fieldhouse Kitchen and Bar, is seeking Village District approval for a building or wall sign and awning at 439 Main St..
The application identifies Addessi Center II LLC as the property owner and John Gazzola as the applicant.
The property is in the central business district.
Commission staff recommends receiving the application Oct. 13 and scheduling discussion for Oct. 27.
