Ridgefield Library is featuring Sara Kaplan's artwork in its November lower-level gallery exhibit, according to the library's announcement. Kaplan has been an architect, crossword puzzle constructor, stay-at-home mom and prolific doodler. She started painting in 2018.
"Mostly portraits. I am interested in capturing psychological depth as well as exploring the ability of paint to capture different types of light. The subjects you see here are all friends and family, or myself. I am available for commissions, and the prices of the pieces hanging in the show are available upon request," Kaplan said in the announcement.
The exhibit is open during regular library hours, according to the library. An artist reception is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the lower-level gallery.
