Ridgefield Guild of Artists Presents: Art Deco Printmaking on Oct. 19

An Art Deco Printmaking class will be held on Sunday, October 19, from 1-4 p.m.

Art Deco Printmaking with Carol Solinger and Antonio Muñoz will be held as part of Ridgefield Library’s “The Big Read” on Sunday, October 19, from 1-4 p.m.

Fee is $25 for all members and non-members as a special “Big Read” rate for the half-day workshop.

Come out and recreate the glamour of the Great Gatsby era with stunning Art Deco designs! Inspired by Erte’s striking art deco designs and motifs, discover the art of printmaking and create some unique pieces with the distinctive look and feel of the roaring twenties. Carol Solinger will start by teaching the process of one-color printing and will then move into three-color block print. Students will walk away with either Art Deco designed stationery and/or a piece of artwork. As an introduction, Graphic Designer Antonio Muñoz will share his knowledge of Art Deco designs to help inspire your creations.

All materials included.
