Art Raffle Fundraiser

Rachel Volpone’s exquisite painting “Sea-Blue” will be on display at Sarah’s Wine Bar, 20 West Lane, on Wednesday, February 10th from 7 – 9 pm to kick off the Ridgefield League of Women Voters annual “Art Raffle Fundraiser”. Ms Volpone, a renowned Ridgefield artist and member of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, has generously donated this extraordinary artwork that she created for the League in honor of her maternal grandfather Peter Grillo. When asked why she wanted to work with the Ridgefield League of Women Voters, Ms Valpone said: “I am honored to donate a painting to the League. Voting is a big deal with our family. My grandfather in his 80s used to drive “seniors” to the polls--oftentimes much younger than him! He was so committed to the democratic process and was representative of that last great generation, so few of whom are still alive. This is done in his honor - Peter Grillo, my maternal grandfather who loved the sea.” The drawing for the painting will be Tuesday, May 10th at Sarah’s Wine Bar 7-9. Winner need not be present.
