Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings to Host Annual Family Day Car Show & Shine Sept. 19

Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings, an Assisted Living and Mind & Memory Care community, will host its Annual Family Day Car Show & Shine on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 640 Danbury Road in Ridgefield.

The popular annual event, which has attracted upwards of 100 vehicles in past years, will bring together residents, associates, local families and car enthusiasts for an afternoon featuring classic and specialty cars, music, food, games and more.

Car owners are invited to showcase a wide variety of vehicles, including antiques, classics, customs, muscle cars, imports, trucks and motorcycles. All makes and models are welcome, with no cut-off year. Vehicle entry is $15, and the first 100 participating cars will receive goodie bags.

Throughout the afternoon, judges will select standout vehicles for Best in Show awards, adding some friendly competition to the festivities. Guests can also enjoy DJ music, trophies, door prizes, giveaways, children’s games and a 50/50 raffle.

Food will be available for purchase, including breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage grinders, chips, soda, water and ice cream.

Held in partnership with Connecticut Cruise News, proceeds from the event will benefit Benchmark Senior Living’s One Company Fund, which provides financial assistance to Benchmark associates facing unexpected hardship and the Alzheimer’s Association.

The rain date is Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees and participating car owners are asked to RSVP by Sept. 11 by calling Benchmark at Ridgefield Crossings at 203.431.2255.
