BOOM: Ridgefield Firefighters Set Date For Carnival And Fireworks

Proceeds from the carnival will help fund personal protective gear and training for Ridgefield firefighters.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department’s annual firefighters’ carnival is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, through Saturday, June 27, at East Ridge Middle School.

Fireworks are scheduled for dusk Friday, June 26, according to the department.

The carnival and fireworks are sponsored by Keeler and its area dealerships: BMW of Ridgefield, Genesis of Ridgefield, Toyota of Westport, Lexus of Westport and Audi Hawthorne, according to the release.

“The Keeler family of dealerships have long valued and appreciated the life-saving work of the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department and this year we are proud to sponsor the annual carnival and the special fireworks in honor of America’s 250th and to salute the 'Spirit of America’s Volunteerism'," said Jesse Hord, Dealer Principal of Keeler Motors.

Proceeds from the carnival will help fund personal protective gear for firefighters, training to meet state and federal standards, equipment, and educational materials for school and community safety programs.

Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tim Pambianchi thanked Keeler for the sponsorship and said the department has 60 volunteer firefighters and fire-police members who respond to calls.

“We are grateful to such a caring community that supports 60 volunteer firefighters and fire-police members who respond at all hours when help can’t wait,” Pambianchi said.

Don't let your dogs get too comfortable: The Ridgefield Family Fireworks Celebration is scheduled for the following week, on July 4th proper.
