Lance Whitney will show you how to use all the iPhone’s camera features and modes, how to compose and capture the right shots, and how to use certain effects to enhance your&nbsp;photos. Is the instruction manual that came with it almost impossible to understand? bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera and manual to this class. This course will guide you to knowing how to take pictures you can be proud of and having a good knowledge of photography in general. All relevant buttons and switches will be explained so that your picture will come out well exposed and sharply focused. Whether you are interested in photographing your friends and family, nature, landscapes or sports, this course will certainly enhance your talents. You will learn how to freeze the action in sports; create beautiful portraits with that blurry background, and use your flash as professional fashion and wedding photographers do.. Adults and high school students are invited to join the Ridgefield Library on Wednesday, May 13th, at 6:00 pm for a FREE immersive and interactive career exploration program using virtual reality (VR)!
During this 90-minute session, participants will explore diverse career paths through 35 virtual field trips in the industries of healthcare, advanced manufacturing, IT, skilled trades, and logistics. Additionally, participants will use innovative assessment tools such as the Interest Profiler&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Budget Your Life&nbsp;to provide them with the career insight and guidance they need to find a fulfilling career. This program will also provide local resources they can use to further investigate the careers they’re interested in.

Camerata d’Amici to Present “Because You Sang, I Sing” May 17 Choral group Camerata d’Amici is delighted to present its spring concert “Because You Sang, I Sing” on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 4 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, <a href="https://cameratadamici.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b1936e9306eb66aa00fd64166&amp;id=b35661fb25&amp;e=40ad5f72af" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">6 Ivy Hill Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877</a>. 

Conducted by Kristin Sponheim, the concert will feature music that pays tribute to those that came before us, in honor of America’s 250th celebration.Selections will include “Because You Sang,” by Arianne Abele, “Shenandoah,” arr. James Erb, and “Hold On,” arr. Uzee Brown.
Camerata d’Amici is an auditioned choir made up of singers from Fairfield and Westchester counties. “Because You Sang, I Sing” will feature performances by the full group and a chamber ensemble, as well as men’s and women’s pieces. Featured vocalists will include Thomas Carr (Danbury), James Lee (Wilton), Jeanine Pardey (Ridgefield), and Doug Planker (Monroe).
The choir will be accompanied by Liang-Fang Chang (piano), and Elliot Wallace (percussion).
Tickets at the door are $30 for adults and $10 for youth 18 and under.
