Mah Jongg for Beginners - New Classes Starting Fall 2026

One bam..two crack! Never heard those words? In this course you'll not only learn what they mean, but will discover an exciting game that is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. When you take this class, you will learn from square one. Or should I say tile one! This primer is very basic and will have you playing in no time. Attendance at the first two classes is a must. You will learn rules of the game as sanctioned by the National Mah Jongg League. Please bring the 2026 National Mah Jongg League card to the first class (see notes below). If you own a Mah Jongg set bring it to class (do not run out and buy one). Come join me to learn this entertaining, social and most enjoyable game. Instructor Sybl Falik started playing Mah Jongg as a young mother, as a way to socialize. Quickly Mah Jongg became a passion, and she used this game to meet friends by teaching the game to women. I hope you will develop a love for this game as I have.

You'll need the 2026 National Mah Jongg League card for all classes starting from now through March 2027. The Large Print Edition card is recommended. Please buy the card from the National Mah Jongg League ( other sources might be selling counterfeit cards.).
