Car Crashes Into 109 Cheese and Wine Shop in Ridgefield

A car drove into 109 Cheese & Wine Specialty Food Shop at around noon today, the News Times reports.

Linda Rost, 68, of Ridgefield drove into the front window of the shop after her foot accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, the publication reports. Rost was not charged or given a ticket.

“Hi everyone. As some know we had a car pay us a visit at the cheese shop,” 109 Cheese & Wine posted on Facebook.

They added that the were glad no one was injured during the crash and thanked everyone for their support while they repair the store and restock all the damaged products. They plan to reopen on Saturday.
