Carols by Candlelight Is This Saturday

Doors will open to the St. Stephen's (Ridgefield) sanctuary at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday – 45 minutes before the start of Carols by Candlelight.

Doors will open into the St. Stephen’s sanctuary at 6:45 p.m. this Saturday – 45 minutes before the 7:30 start of Carols by Candlelight, the church’s popular Christmas concert. The event is a celebration of Advent and Christmas presented by the St. Stephen’s Festival Choir, St. Stephen’s Choristers, soloists, and an 18-piece professional orchestra. The church as at 351 Main St. in Ridgefield.

All are welcome to the concert, which is intended as a gift to the community. It will include selections from J.S. Bach’s “Wachet Auf, BWV 140,” Handel’s “Messiah” and works by Gustav Holst, and Edward Elgar, as well as traditional carols. Carols by Candlelight will conclude with a performance of “Hallelujah,” from “Messiah.”

A $20 donation is suggested.
