Community Salutes Ridgefield First Responders, Business Owners

Compassionate Ridgefield is asking residents to clap their hands, ring a bell or bang pots in honor of the town's front-line workers.

RIDGEFIELD, CT—For more than two months, Ridgefield first responders and local business owners have bravely worked the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. Whether it's been tending to a sick patient, stocking grocery store shelves or offering food takeout service, they've continued working to provide the much needed services we all heavily rely on—and perhaps even take for granted.

To say "thank you" for all they do, every evening starting at 7 p.m., Compassionate Ridgefield is asking residents to step outside their front door and clap their hands, ring a bell or bang pots and pans in gratitude of the town's front-line workers.
