Coronavirus Ridgefield: 2 Middle Schools Closed Monday
4 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Scotts Ridge and East Ridge Middle School communities.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Scotts Ridge Middle School and East Ridge Middle School will both switch to remote learning Monday, following two positive cases of the coronavirus confirmed in each community.
Both middle school buildings will be closed Monday and "deep cleaned," according to an email to parents from Superintendent Susie Da Silva.
"We do not yet have information to believe that these cases are connected to one another, but believe we need the time tomorrow to assess the situation further," Da Silva said.
A decision regarding whether students will be returning to school on Tuesday will be delivered to the community Monday.
