Coronavirus Ridgefield: Dog Park Closed, More

The Office of Emergency Management has set schedule for video updates, and is advising residents on closings of town facilities.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Office of Emergency Management has set a regular schedule for video updates, and is advising residents on additional closings of town facilities.

  • Live streaming with town updates are now scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 p.m. on the town website and on Comcast channel 24.
  • The dog park will be closed beginning March 23. Walking and hiking trails remain open, but the OEM is advising all hikers not to congregate in groups and to maintain the standard coronavirus safety protocols as described by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Tick season is particularly bad this year due to the warm winter, the Town has warned.
  • Residents who believe they may have contracted COVID-19 (symptoms may appear two to 14 days after exposure and may include fever, cough and shortness of breath) are advised to contact their physician, who may then order testing at either the Danbury or Norwalk Hospital drive-thru test collection sites.
