CT 2024 Presidential Primary: How Did Ridgefield Vote?
Voter turn-out was light in Ridgefield. Here's the candidate-by-candidate tally.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The party front-runners won early and won big in Tuesday's state presidential primary.
The Associated Press called the Democratic contest for incumbent President Joe Biden at 8:08 p.m. and the Republican race for former President Donald Trump two minutes later.
Foul weather and foregone conclusions no doubt contributed to the exceedingly light voter turnout. Just a little over 9 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the primary, according to the Secretary of The State's tabulations.
Both Biden and Trump had already clinched their party's nominations long before any primary votes were cast in Connecticut.
Here's how the presidential primary votes played out in Ridgefield, according to the unofficial tally by the Secretary of The State.
Democrat:
- Marianne Williamson: 10 votes / 1.67 percent
- Dean Phillips: 3 votes / 0.50 percent
- Cenk Uygur: 3 votes / 0.50 percent
- Joe Biden: 532 votes / 88.96 percent
- Uncommitted: 50 votes / 8.36 percent
Republican:
- Ron DeSantis: 9 votes / 2.39 percent
- Nikki Haley: 74 votes / 19.68 percent
- Donald J. Trump: 273 votes / 72.61 percent
