Della Mae to Perform at CHIRP in Ridgefield
Pop Matters praised the group as 'never failing to deliver punch, soul and emotion in equal measure... rootsy, prayerful, spiritual almost'

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Concert Happenings in Ridgefield Parks (CHIRP) is welcoming Della Mae to Ballard Park on Thursday, August 16 at 7 p.m.
Della Mae was the International Bluegrass Music Association's Emerging Artists of the Year in 2013, GRAMMY Nominees in 2014 for their debut album on Rounder Records, and named among Rolling Stone’s “10 bands to watch for in 2015.” Pop Matters praised the group as “never failing to deliver punch, soul and emotion in equal measure … rootsy, prayerful, spiritual almost – a statement of purpose and direction.”
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the East Ridge Middle School.
CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. It also sponsors the U.S. Military Band concerts held several times a year at the high school auditorium. CHIRP is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses.
