Depot Road Bridge in Ridgefield to Close 'Indefinitely'

The state Department of Transportation has cited structural deficiencies in the bridge, which crosses the Norwalk River.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Depot Road in the Branchville neighborhood of town, long scheduled for closure, will finally close down on Thursday, Oct. 3, according to police.

The road straddles the Norwalk River at the north entrance to the Branchville train station. The state Department of Transportation has cited structural deficiencies in the bridge, and are closing it "indefinitely," according to police.
