Elderly Woman Who Suffered from Burns in Ridgefield Condo Fire Dies
The woman died at the Bridgeport Burn Unit Sunday night.
The elderly woman who suffered from burns and smoke inhalation in a condo fire last week has died, the Ridgefield Press reports.
According to the paper, the elderly woman, identified as Sandra Reyes, 78 died Sunday at the Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit. Her son Joseph Reyes is in stable condition.
A Go Fund Me Campaign has been set up to help the family.
Both victims were transported to the Bridgeport Burn Unit on Friday.
The fire was contained to just one unit of the building on Cook Close, the paper reports. Joseph Reyes suffered burns while trying to rescue his mother.
The investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
