Details: "Boys of Bonneville: Racing on a Ribbon of Salt" tells the story of David Abbott ("Ab") Jenkins, a Salt Lake City based contractor who in 1940 - 1944 single-handedly broke every existing land speed record in the "Mormon Meteor," his 4800 pound Duesenberg. Jenkins' 24-hour speed record of 161.80 mph, set in 1940 on the Bonneville Salt Flats, stood for over 50 years, and was finally broken in 1990. The film is narrated by Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey and features vintage racing footage.
