Nutmeg Festival

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will hold the 106th edition of the Nutmeg Festival, one of Connecticut’s oldest church fairs.  Nutmeg 2012 features food, music, a magic show, antiques, books, children’s games, face painting, a White Elephant sale and a host of other activities for all ages.

All bakers are invited to compete in the Nutmeg Cake-Baking Contest. Judging will be by the owners of The Cake Box, Jordan Gregory and Robert Byrnes. Winners will be declared in two groups of contestants - children (under age 16) and age 16 and above – and for two categories – looks and taste.  Contestants are asked to bring their cakes to the church’s South Hall the morning of the festival.  Judging will be at 1 p.m.

All raffle proceeds will be donated to St. Luke’s/St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bridgeport in support of their outreach ministries, including to the Latino/Hispanic communities. All Silent Auction proceeds are distributed among various local charities.
