The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is hosting another Snowshoe Clinic on Sunday, February 13th from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. on the grounds of the Ridgefield Golf Course. Try out a pair of snowshoes on this beautiful property. This opportunity will provide you with instruction and tips from our experienced outdoor guides. Please wear sturdy boots, and dress warmly. We will have a limited number of snowshoes available for the first people to register. If you have your own snowshoes, please bring them. Participants may also rent them for the day or weekend from EMS in the Danbury Mall (203) 794-1043. The program is appropriate for adults and children 12 and up.
The Ridgefield Golf Course offers a wide variety of terrain. We are pleased that the Town makes this property available to the public when there is sufficient snow-cover in the winter! From Ridgebury Road, turn onto Dlhy Road and follow it to the parking area for the clubhouse. The program is free for Discovery Center members, and is $7.00 for non-members. This program is dependent upon weather conditions.
