Farmingville Elementary School Inventors Honored at UCONN

Less than one percent of participating students reach this level.

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- Three student inventors from Farmingville Elementary School represented Ridgefield and FES at the State level of the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC), which was held at University of Connecticut at Storrs over the weekend.

According to opening ceremony speeches by the CIC and UCONN School of Engineering hosts, approximately 18,000 students participated in the event at the school level across the state. Between 700-800 won their school contests, proceeded to and won their regional-level events, and were invited to compete at UCONN on Saturday. Of those, only 160 were recognized at the state level.
