Fifth Grade Celebrates Their Medieval Feast

Wooster School fifth graders took a hands-on approach to their study of the Middle Ages.

What's better than learning about castles, knights, and the Middle Ages - putting it all together into a wonderful Medieval Feast! The eve of February 8 was a magical celebration in which the fifth graders took a hands-on approach to their study of the Middle Ages. The Dining Room was transformed into a Great Hall where homemade banners hung and traditional Medieval food was served to the fifth graders and their families (special thanks to Chef Rick and his staff). Each student entertained the crowd - we had a jester, dancers, and archers. Children designed a Medieval trivia game to test the knowledge of the crowd. To further delight the crowd, a play and song was performed. Every act was written and created by the students themselves. This collaborative masterpiece involved artwork led by Ms. Chodoff, the Sword Dance directed by Ms. Davies, Medieval weapon creations directed by Mrs. O’Leary, and animation videos guided by Mrs. Lindquist and Mrs. Chodoff. A fabulous night was had by all!
