Firefighters and Police to Host Safety Day in Ridgefield

C.E.R.T., the State Animal Response Team and others will also be on hand.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Residents will have the opportunity to get up close with Ridgefield's Eagle One helicopter -- not to mention K-9 trooper Loki -- at the Annual Safety Day festivities on Sunday, Sept. 23.

The event is sponsored by the the Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association, the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department and the Ridgefield Professional Firefighters Association and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot of East Ridge Middle School at 10 East Ridge Road.

Child car seat safety inspections will be offered throughout the event, with no appointment necessary. Crash simulators, a fire safety trailer, and other police and fire vehicles will be on display. The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) , State Animal Response Team, R.V.N.A. and other organizations will be staffing information tables.

This event is family oriented and admission is free.
