Grammy Winner Eileen Ivers Stars in Ridgefield's CHIRP Concert
Ivers is the preeminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.
RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Concert Happenings in Ridgefield Parks (CHIRP) is welcoming Eileen Ivers, the preeminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today on Thursday, July 5. She is Grammy awarded, Emmy nominated, an original musical star of Riverdance, as well as being Nine Time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion. She has performed with 40 orchestras worldwide, most recently with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in April.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. It also sponsors the U.S. Military Band concerts held several times a year at the H.S. auditorium. CHIRP is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses.
