Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Date Set for Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority is hosting a "Household Hazardous Waste" event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Brookfield High School on 45 Long Meadow Hill Road in Brookfield.

Only residents from Bethel, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield can drop off hazardous items, which may include camera batteries, moth balls, paints, septic tank degreasers and more. (See below for a more complete list.)

Residents are advised to label or mark any gas containers they wish to keep, stay in their vehicle at all times, and refrain from smoking.
