"Hello Ridgefield" Is Kicking Off The Holiday Season BIG!
The 4th annual "12 Days Of Giveaways" is starting on Dec. 1st!
On Saturday, December 1, 2018, the popular Facebook group, “Hello Ridgefield!” is kicking off the holiday season with their 4th Annual “12 Days Of Giveaways”. Prizes for each day’s giveaway, have been generously donated by local businesses. This year’s prizes are bigger than ever; some are valued up to $500.
WHAT IS “HELLO RIDGEFIELD”?:
The “Hello Ridgefield!” Facebook group was launched in 2014, as an alternative social media community group. The focus was on fun, keeping things positive, supportive and upbeat.
Group Administrator, Tonya Hinojosa explains, “an early goal of the group was focusing on supporting each other, spreading kindness, and ’Local Helping Local’; and we’re proud we’ve maintained that spirit throughout the past 4 years”.
The group currently has 9,300+ members, and is continually growing. It has proven to be a resource for not just Ridgefield, but Fairfield County and beyond. It’s also a popular spot for Ridgefield residents to chat with their neighbors.
WHAT IS THE “12 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS”?:
The idea behind hosting a “12 Days Of Giveaways” in the group, came to fruition when the group’s administrators brainstormed a way to say “thank you” to the group’s members, while also spreading local holiday cheer. So they teamed up with local business owners, and a tradition was born. This year the prizes are even bigger than in past years, and a record number of businesses offered to donate prizes.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of so many local businesses, who have donated amazing prizes, says Group Moderator, Cindie Hansen Lishawa. This is going to be the best year of ’12 Days Of Giveaways’ yet!”
Following the same tradition as in previous years, this holiday contest will run for 12 consecutive days in the Hello Ridgefield! Facebook group. On each of the 12 consecutive days a different prize will be given away to one lucky group member. Because it’s a closed Facebook group, any residents who want to participate, need to be members of the group. New members are always welcomed! THE HELLO RIDGEFIELD BRAND IS GROWING:
Realizing there was a need in Ridgefield to help local businesses connect to their community members, the “Hello Ridgefield!” Facebook group has evolved and now includes 2 business off-shoots of the Hello Ridgefield brand; a social media company, Hello Ridgefield Social Media Consulting; and the brand new Hello Ridgefield website, called the Hello Ridgefield Community & Business Guide.
The Hello Ridgefield business side is run by local residents, Tonya Hinojosa and Cindie Hansen Lishawa. The two joined forces after realizing their shared love of the town of Ridgefield, and a mutual desire to help Ridgefield thrive.
