Hot Club of Cowtown to Bring Western Swing to CHIRP in Ridgefield

The London Sunday Times called them "the world's most amazing Western Swing Band"

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Concert Happenings in Ridgefield Parks (CHIRP) is welcoming Hot Club of Cowtown to Ballard Park on Thursday, July 26 at 7 p.m.

Back by popular demand for Elana James’ 13th year performing at CHIRP, Hot Club’s 11th, this trio, Elana, Jake Erwin and Whit Smith, possesses “an arsenal full of technique and joy.” (Jon Caramanica, NY Times). Called “the world’s most amazing Western Swing Band” (London, Sunday Times), they are three incredible virtuosos on fiddle, bass and guitar.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the East Ridge Middle School.

CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. It also sponsors the U.S. Military Band concerts held several times a year at the H.S. auditorium. CHIRP is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses.
