
RIDGEFIELD, CT — As local crews and officials scramble to clean up damage caused by Sunday's rain and wind storm, preliminary rainfall totals are beginning to come in for the area. In Fairfield County, some of the heaviest rains were seen in Westport and Shelton, according to the National Weather Service.
Rainfall totals have not yet been recorded in Ridgefield, but a measurement in Westport was recorded at 4.97 inches and a measurement in New Canaan was recorded at 2.58 inches.
It should be noted that the figures are not yet official, and that rains and winds continue to fall on the area.
