RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Israeli flag has been taken down from the flagpole at Town Hall due to a new policy in the works that currently restricts the use of that flagpole to the U.S. and state flags, along with the POW/MIA flag, and the town's fight against drunk driving flag, Hearst Connecticut reported.

A new official policy is expected to be approved in January. The Israeli flag had been flown beginning in October.
