Janiva Magness to Perform at CHIRP in Ridgefield
Magness was a 2017 Grammy nominee, B.B. King Entertainer of the Year, and 7-time Blues Music Award winner.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Concert Happenings in Ridgefield Parks (CHIRP) is welcoming Janiva Magness to Ballard Park on Tuesday, Aug. 21st at 7 p.m.
Janiva Magness was a 2017 Grammy nominee, B.B. King Entertainer of the Year, 7-time Blues Music Award winner, 26-time nominee, and 2015 Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year. Magness is on tour promoting her album, Love Is an Army, a bridge between the past and present, blending the echoes of classic soul and Americana music with themes of love and the very contemporary sound of protest.

CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. It also sponsors the U.S. Military Band concerts held several times a year at the high school auditorium. CHIRP is totally funded by individual and foundation donations as well as contributions from local businesses.
