JoyRide Ridgefield announces CHIRP Fundraiser

JoyRide is hosting a fundraiser for CHIRP (Concert Happenings In Ridgefield’s Parks) Ridgefield's most beloved FREE summer concert series. The 50 minute indoor cycling class is set to everyone’s favorite current pop hits and will be lead by local resident and JoyRide instructor Amanda Shortt on Friday, May 30th at 6:30pm. The minimum donation to ride is $40 and ALL funds raised will go directly to the organization to keep this wonderful tradition going.

CHIRP is a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night summer concerts in Ballard Park located in the heart of Ridgefield. CHIRP’s main goal is to build community through shared experience. The mission of the organization is to present music and professional musicians who would not normally otherwise have a venue in the Ridgefield/Danbury area.

“My family regularly attends the CHIRP summer concerts in Ballard Park,” said Corey Londoner co-owner of JoyRide Ridgefield. “These concerts are an important part of what brings our community together and draws people here from neighboring towns to help support local business. We are absolutely obsessed with music at JoyRide so this is a great fit for us! We are proud to help raise funds for this wholesome summer tradition.”

“We are delighted that JoyRide Ridgefield has taken an interest in raising funds in support of CHIRP,” said Barbara Manners. “It’s wonderful to see local businesses taking an active interest in the arts.”

CHIRP kicks off this year's line-up Tuesday, May 27th, with the Bob Button Big Band playing favorites from the Big Band era and moves ahead June 3rd, to the swampy bayous of Louisiana with the Revelers. June 10th the terrific country duo of Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis are in the park and  June 17th Roosevelt Dime is back in town.
