Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield Hosts July 4th Watermelon Festival

Live music, lawn games, lots of watermelon -- and admission is free.

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- The Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center will host a Watermelon Fest on July 4 from noon to 3:00 p.m. The Declaration of Independence will be read, lawn games will be played, and watermelon will be eaten.

Other highlights include a “Red, White and Blue” art show in the Barn featuring works by Founders Hall students, live music by the Angry O'Hara's, and a dunk tank featuring King George III (Don't throw away your shot!). The Zawack Shack food truck will be on the premises.

Admission is free, and there is limited on-site parking.

The Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center is located at 132 Main Street in Ridgefield.
