Now it appears the department store is leaving for good. Data on the website for Regency Centers, which operates the shopping plaza, indicates the developer is actively shopping for a client for the remaining 65,400 square feet of retail space. HomeGoods, part of a chain of home furnishing stores headquartered in Framingham, MA, will occupy the 24,173 square feet of former Kohl's space nearest the Stop & Shop.
Kohl's opened in Ridgefield in April 2000.
