Latest Ridgefield Coronavirus Update: 114 Active Cases

Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Ridgefield.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 114 cases of the new coronavirus in the Town as of Wednesday.

The number of new coronavirus cases in Connecticut increased by 1,000 over a 24-hour period and now has reached 8,781 cases. Connecticut also reported an additional 58 deaths over the past day, bringing the total number to 335.

The Institute for Health Metrics, whose influential coronavirus projection model is used by the White House, predicted Wednesday that the coronavirus outbreak will peak on April 22 in Connecticut, estimating growing death tolls up to 138 per day until the top of that bell curve is reached.
