RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 112 active cases of the new coronavirus in the Town as of Friday. There have been 15 deaths in Ridgefield attributed to the virus, according to Health Director Ed Briggs.

With the increased number of pedestrians on the roads, Town officials are asking residents to exercise extreme caution while driving, and pedestrians to always face the traffic while walking.

"Winding roads with no sidewalks make it difficult to know a vehicle is coming from behind, especially if the vehicle is a silent hybrid," Office of Emergency Management officials said in a news release.
