Latest Ridgefield Coronavirus Updates: 74 Confirmed Cases
Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Ridgefield.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The state Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 74 cases of the new coronavirus in Town, as of Monday afternoon, up from 64 reported Sunday night.
The total dead from the disease in Ridgefield now numbers seven.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut ballooned by 578 cases to 2,571 and the number of deaths rose from 34 to 36 on Monday. The number of people hospitalized rose from 404 to 517 on Monday.
A total of 21 deaths have been reported in Fairfield County, six in New Haven County, four in Tolland County, three in Hartford County, and one each in Middlesex and Litchfield County.

The Ridgefield Office of Emergency Management is strongly urging residents who have symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 to quarantine for 14 days.
"That means that you should not leave your home. Please follow the CDC guidelines on how to isolate yourself from others in your family. To utilize take out services, call a friend or one of the many organizations that are set up to help with pick-up," the OEM said in a press release Monday.
Ridgefield Responds, a charity under the nonprofit Friends of Ridgefield, is now taking donations that will be used towards Ridgefield's recovery efforts and will be used for those unemployed or laid off due to COVID-19 for help with rents and mortgages.
