Letter To The Editor: On Fairfield County's Giving Day
Twenty-one nonprofit organizations in the Ridgefield area are participating this year.
To the Editor,
Fairfield County's Giving Day, the region’s biggest day of philanthropic giving, is on Thursday, February 27th. Powered by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, this dynamic 24-hour online fundraising event unites Fairfield County around local causes and nonprofit organizations that are closest to our hearts. Since 2014, Fairfield County’s Giving Day has raised over $7.6 million, benefited over 12,000 nonprofits, and garnered over 79,000 donations.
Twenty-one nonprofit organizations in the Ridgefield area are participating this year. They are: Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center, Lounsbury House / Veteran's Memorial Community Association, CT Against Gun Violence Education Fund, Inc., ROAR-Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue, Ms President US, Thrown Stone Theatre Company, Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Inc., Cornerstone Home & Gardens, The Ridgefield Chorale, ACT of Connecticut, The Ridgefield Playhouse, Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, Ridgefield Library Association, RVNAhealth, Ridgefield Historical Society, The Ridgefield Theater Barn, Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, Looking Glass Animal Rescue, Inc., Ridgefield Guild of Artists, and Apache’s Promise Animal Rescue. As a board members of Fairfield County's Community Foundation, and residents of Ridgefield, we are writing to ask you to help us
break a giving record!
You can help by encouraging friends, family and colleagues to "give where you live" by donating to participating nonprofits via www.FCGives.org on February 27th. You can donate as little as $10. Each donation adds up and can give nonprofits a chance win over $100,000 in cash prizes made possible by generous Giving Day sponsors, including champion sponsor, Bank of America.
Please set a reminder to visit www.FCGives.org on February 27th and give to your favorite nonprofits, including those serving our local community. It’s a fun, easy, and important way to make a difference right here in Fairfield County.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Together we thrive!
