Giving back never gets old for some local businesses. Ridgefield Overhead Doors recently installed their 8th garage door at the Housatonic Habitat for Humanity home currently under construction in New Milford.
Over the last decade, Nancy and Paul Peloquin have participated in the volunteer-led construction of homes in Danbury and New Milford with the world-wide Habitat mission of building work-force housing. Said Nancy, who is the company’s CFO, “We love Housatonic Habitat and we love helping people who are helping themselves. We know that sometimes all people just need a little boost to get on their feet.” Ridgefield Overhead Doors is a locally owned and operated business that was established in 2000.
Fran Normann, Executive Director of Housatonic Habitat said: “We are grateful for the Peloquin’s continued support. We can build affordable homes for work-force families because of the combination of volunteer-led construction teams and the donations of materials and supplies by local businesses, trades and individuals. We are thankful for Ridgefield Overhead Doors to be part of our team.”
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes.
