Strategies for surviving the death of a loved one will be shared at Lifetree Café on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 7:15 pm – 8:30 pm
The program, titled “Surviving the Death of a Loved One: Finding Peace in Your Time of Loss,” includes a film featuring Susan Burton, a woman who lost an infant child to sudden infant death syndrome.
Although it’s been more than a decade since the loss of her child, Burton says “Emily is still a part of our family and our life. You can’t pretend the loss didn’t happen—you’ve got to cope with it.” Burton will discuss what proved helpful as she moved through grief and found peace and healing.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at the First Congregational Church, 103 Main Street, CT 06877 ~ next to the Fountain and Routes 33 and 35.
