MADD Honors Ridgefield Police Officers

Both men received awards for their efforts toward eliminating drunk and drugged driving.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Two Ridgefield police officers were honored recently by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Officers Louis Geller and Matthew Seibert both received the CT MADD Award for their efforts toward eliminating drunk and drugged driving.

Seibert is currently on military training leave, and was unable to attend the ceremony.

According to MADD, there are more than 300,000 incidents of drinking and driving daily, leading to 10,876 deaths a year, or one death by DUI every 48 minutes.
