Minor Earthquake Felt In Ridgefield

Some people in town awoke to things rattling.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Several residents woke up to items rattling in their homes Wednesday morning. A magnitude 2.2 earthquake was recorded in the New York Lake Mohegan area at 6:14 a.m.

Ridgefield lies on "Cameron's Line" fault that runs from Manhattan, according to the Ridgefield Press. The town last felt an earthquake in 1985.

Some residents reported that items fell in their homes due to the minor quake.
