Murder Mystery Dinner at Lounsbury House Feb. 24
Lounsbury House Becomes a 1920s Speakeasy during a Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, February 24

Jilted lovers, rival mobsters and undercover feds will all be potential suspects during a 1920s Murder Mystery Dinner at Lounsbury House on Saturday, February 24. The night of immersive entertainment will begin at 7pm with a delectable three-course dinner, including “bootleg” beer and wine.
“Someone will get bumped off – and someone will be sent up the river,” joked Belinda Lasky, Executive Director of Lounsbury House. “Everyone, though, will have a fantastic evening. Already, we’ve taken reservations from several couples, friend groups, and individuals eager to meet new people and take part in the mayhem.”
The Murder Mystery Dinner is set at the height of prohibition in a 1920s speakeasy. Guests are invited – but not required – to dress for the 1920s era in flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, or pinstripe suits and fedoras. Costumed improv actors will explain the rules of the evening and assign roles to audience members. Many guests will be chosen to play the parts of suspects, but all guests will examine the evidence and work with their tablemates to solve the crime.
“Nothing heats up a cold winter night like a murder,” added Lasky, “even if it’s a fictitious one.”
Lounsbury House, a National Historic Site, is located in downtown Ridgefield at 316 Main Street. Tickets to the Murder Mystery Dinner are $100 per person and may be purchased at www.LounsburyHouse.org. Seating is limited and reservations are requested by February 20. In case of inclement weather, the dinner will be held one week later, on Saturday, March 3.
