New Signs to Tweak Speed Limit on Blue Ridge Road in Ridgefield

Officials are taking a look at some other signs to see if they are still needed

RIDGEFIELD, CT —The town Police Commission has decided to add some signs on Blue Ridge Road, and continue to take a hard look at some more on Ned’s Mountain Road, the Ridgefield Press is reporting.

Two 25 miles-per-hour speed limit signs at both ends of Blue Ridge Road are coming down, and 20 miles-per-hour advisory signs are being installed on the road’s dangerous corner signs.

Some of the 26 yellow indicator signs that warn of sharp curves on Ned’s Mountain Road may get the axe. Viewed by many in the neighborhood as an eyesore, their final fate awaits a state inspection, scheduled for April.
