Obituary: Jennifer H. Mason, 61, Of Ridgefield: School Teacher

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Jennifer H. Mason, 61, a former Ridgefield school teacher, died peacefully on Sept. 14, 2022, after a long battle with COVID-19, according to her obituary published by Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home.

Mason was an elementary school teacher in the Ridgefield Public School system for over 30 years, and an active member of Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was involved with a number of ministries, most notably serving as leader of the middle school youth group, according to the News-Times.

Mason is survived by her husband, Scott, of 37 years, their 4 children: Heather, Tori, Lindsay, and David; her grandson, Noah; her mother, Anne W. Hawkins; and her three brothers John, Bill, and Steve Hawkins. Mason was predeceased by her father, Clyde W. Hawkins.

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Jenni’s Life will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 207 Main Street, Ridgefield. Contributions in Jenni’s memory may be made to Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.
