Obituary: Shirley M. (Mead) Frulla, 91, Of Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Shirley M. (Mead) Frulla, 91, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Alexander "Alex" Frulla.

Mrs. Frulla was born in Ridgefield on April 6, 1932; a daughter of the late Anna (Ferguson) and Harold "Buck" Mead.

Mrs. Frulla was a retired cafeteria worker in the Ridgefield schools; she also enjoyed bowling, UCONN Women's basketball and NASCAR. Mrs. Frulla was a parishioner of Saint Mary's Church.

Mrs. Frulla is survived by her son, Paul Frulla and his wife, Sally of Ridgefield; her daughters, Judith Schneider and her husband, Ken of Vacaville, CA and Marie Frulla of Conway, SC. In addition, Mrs. Frulla is also survived by her grandchildren JoAnn Landry and her husband, John; Jennifer Ivancie and Michael Frulla and his wife, Maria; as well as her great-grandchildren Ryan Landry and Valentina Frulla. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Frulla was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Machado.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield.

Contributions in Mrs. Frulla's memory may be made to the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department or Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Connecticut.
