Obituary: Steven Karashik, 63, Of Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — (From Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home): Steven Karashik, 63, passed away on June 3, 2023. He was a resident of Ridgefield, CT for 27 years.

Steven was raised in North Miami Beach, FL. He graduated from University of Florida in 1981 and went on to achieve a doctorate in psychology in 1995 after pursuing a career in nursing. Steven is survived by his wife, Anna, his three children, Matthew, Adam and Robyn, his mother, Thelma, his brother, Jeffrey (Pam) and his nephew, Jeremy.

Steven practiced clinical psychology in Ridgefield and Danbury from 1998 to 2022. He dedicated his life to the service of others. His pride and joy were his three children and their academic, athletic and professional achievements. Steven was an animal lover and rescued many shelter dogs.

Guests will be received on Sunday, June 11, 2023, beginning at 10:15 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. presided by Rabbi Jon Haddon.
