Permanent Liquor License Sought By Art Museum In Ridgefield
The application was filed with the town earlier this month.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The owners of The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum Inc. at 258 Main St. are seeking approval for a permanent liquor license, according to records filed with the town Planning and Zoning Commission.
Jacqueline Duke, the applicant, wrote to members that "We are applying for a permanent liquor permit to replace the temporary permitting process we currently use when hosting events that serve wine, beer and cocktails.
"That application requires signatures from P&Z. In order to obtain them, we first need a revision to our Special Permit. There will be no change to our building or the use thereof. There will be no change to our occasional serving of liquor. This is simply to obtain a permanent liquor permit to remove the burden of paperwork from our office, as well as from P&Z, Police, Fire Marshal and Town Clerk."
According to documents, special events are held 6-12 times a year and are held after regular hours.
