Personal Touch Welcome - How a B2B adapts during COVID-19 crisis

The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce is sharing stories of how local businesses are adapting and staying viable through the COVID-19 crisis. Today we ask Christine Santorini and David Saunders, new owners of Personal Touch Welcome how they are doing business while under quarantine.

We are keeping Ridgefield businesses & families in our thoughts as we navigate through this time. Like many of you, COVID-19 has caused an earthquake under our feet. How we all respond (pivot vs. panic) is what will hold our businesses and the fabric of our community together.
Great News: Our new PTW app has been created and submitted for review beta testing! Additionally, with the app creation done, we will now turn to re-vamping our website to include your business, a new blog and merchandise!

Monthly Visit Status: We have been "in place" since we learned of COVID-19. Clearly, we cannot make personal visits. After consulting with Welcome Services International, we will be temporarily moving our business to a drop-off service model. We will make first contact with new movers via a door hanger explaining who we are, what we do, and to contact us to receive their Welcome Tote. After they contact us we will visit their home again to drop off our tote on their porch (or wherever directed). Finally, we follow up with them via email, Facetime, phone calls, or zoom call.

Call to Action: Please lean on us to help you get your sales promotions, announcements, etc. out to the community via our social channels. Send us photos of you and be included in our " meet the business owner" SMM series. Additionally, submit any stories to us that you would like us to add to our new blog.

New Mover Market: In speaking to realtors and mortgage lenders, the market of new movers in this area is still very alive! All the reasons why people are choosing to move here still exist and may even be stronger at the end of this situation. These new mover families need assistance as they are literally cut off from our community and have no connections.

Future: For all of us it is hard to define a time frame of 'future' right now. However, Personal Touch Welcome will still uniquely and personally (at a distance) connect with households that appreciate our help now more than ever. Our mode of communication with these new movers will change, however, for better or worse this has become the "new norm" in today's world already.

HOW CAN WE HELP?! Use us! The shock of COVID-19 is past and now people are ready to move forward albeit in a new manner. Your client base will grow by bringing in new movers! Now is a good time to review/refresh your materials, special offers and messages you are using to promote your company. Our manufacturing facilities continue to operate and produce the items you need to drive your business in the coming months.
