Police, FBI, Arrest Man Who Held Up Local Subway

According to police, the man also held up three CT banks and another sandwich shop in Monroe.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police have arrested the man who robbed the Subway sandwich shop on Ethan Allen Highway in May.

Alvin Robertson, 55, was indicted on Oct. 16, according to a police report. In addition to the Ridgefield heist, Robertson faces federal charges for allegedly committing armed robbery at three Connecticut banks and another Subway, in Monroe.

The Ridgefield PD collaborated with their counterparts in Monroe, Watertown and the FBI in the apprehension of Roberston.

Robertson held up the Ridgefield Subway on May 20, brandishing a knife.
