Polling Places, Absentee Ballots, Set for Primaries in Ridgefield
Polls will be open for in-person voting, and absentee ballots are being mailed, for the Aug. 11 primary elections.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Polls will be open for in-person voting for the August 11 primary elections. All three Ridgefield districts will vote at East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge, 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be followed for poll workers as well as voters. Face coverings will be required and surface sanitizing will occur regularly throughout the day.
Residents who choose to vote by absentee ballot must complete the application and mail it to the Town Clerk. The ballots will be mailed beginning July 21 (the date the ballots can officially be mailed to voters) to all who submitted the application.
Upon receiving the official absentee ballot, residents must complete the absentee ballot by filling in the oval next to the choice using a black pen; insert the completed ballot into the inner envelope, seal and sign it; and then put it in the outer envelope. It can be mailed to the Town Clerk or deposited in the official ballot receptacle located at the Bailey Avenue entrance of Town Hall. All ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on August 11.
